Grunge Cookbook's Blind Melon Soup: It's Like Nothing Bad

I know it's late in the summer for melon soup, but depending on where you live and your diet, there is never not a good time to lay off the Dick's burgers and juice/fast for a few days. And juicing can get pretty boring, plus adding the wine that this recipe calls for may be calming and edge off your appetite...besides it's fun to make and super easy!

Other melon options for this salad might be Ambrosia or Sharlyn melons, both enhanced by the Elysium dessert wine...which with its rose taste makes this amazing, but any friuty dessert wine will do!

  • 1 large crenshaw melon
  • 1 cup Elysium orange muscat dessert wine
  • 8 raspberries
  • 8 mint leaves
  1. Peel and cube melon. Puree in food processor until very smooth. Add wine, and chill.
  2. To serve, pour soup into individual bowls or cups, and garnish with raspberry and mint leaf.
